We took almost the same picture from inside the courtyard facing the cobblestoned street: the horse through the arched mudéjar doorway it’s carriage-carrying tourists hidden behind the thick ancient wall.

It was a surprise to learn the park was closed giant wrought iron gates chained and padlocked shut in anticipation of strong winds and rain forecast for much later in the day.
